Forgotten your UCAS login details? Don’t panic!
If you’ve forgotten your UCAS login details or are experiencing issues logging into the system to complete or track your application, there may be a few reasons why.
In this helpful guide, we’re going to outline exactly what you should do if you forget your UCAS login details and how to overcome the most common login issues – to ensure you don’t miss your UCAS application deadline.
Register for courses this year
If you have applied for courses in previous years and have decided to reapply for courses this year, you must register again. Your login details from previous years will no longer be valid – so be sure that you are registered for courses this year!
Double-check your details
If you can’t login to your UCAS application, you may be entering the incorrect username and/or password. Be sure to double-check that these details are correct. If you’re still experiencing these issues, click on the ‘forgotten login’ link. This will send two emails to your registered email address. These will contain your username and your password.
Remember: your UCAS login details are case sensitive, so be sure to type them exactly as they appear in the confirmation emails you receive after registering.
Too many invalid attempts
If you’ve tried and failed to login to UCAS numerous times, this can cause your account to be temporarily locked for security purposes. In this case, you’ll need to contact UCAS so that they can unlock your account after completing mandatory security checks with you.
Track and Apply
If you’re having trouble accessing your UCAS application, make sure that you’re not trying to login to Track by mistake. These are two different systems that will require different login details – Track will ask for a Personal ID instead of a username.
You will only be able to use Track when you receive a welcome email from UCAS confirming your login details. If you are unsure of your login details for either system, you can use the ‘forgotten login’ link.
If you’re still not having any luck, simply contact UCAS and their representatives will be more than happy to help you re-gain access to your application in time for your deadline.
